Update on Cameron
So most don't know, (but a few do), that Cameron woke up Friday in excruciating pain in his left ear. He laid back down and woke up again, in even more pain. He told me that he heard something pop. I checked and his ear had begun to pour puss. I immediately called his ENT (ear, nose & throat specialist) and they concluded that he had an abcess and it must have burst. Being that it was July 4th, the office was going to be closed until Monday. I thought for sure that I was going to have to take him to the emergency room, being that I was unsure that a dr that had never seen him before would call in an antibiotic or not. But thankfully, when the on call dr called back, and heard some of Cam's medical history, they immediately suggested the antibiotic and an ear drop that contains acid to help eat through bacteria and yeast, (which ever the case would be). I also was told to alternate, every 2 hours between Motrin & Tylenol.
So that is what we have been doing. Then this morning, the same thing happened with the other ear. I again, called the ENT and was told to monitor it. If the draining of puss lasted for more than 4-6 hrs or if it started bleeding, to take him to the ER. If not, I have to call the dr first thing to me in the morning to get a time to take him in. They are concerned about the antibiotics not working since it happened again in the right ear. They have suggested that he may need to be admitted for iv antibiotics.
Of course, I am heartbroken. He is in so much pain and miserable. I pray that the antibiotic liquids do the trick. He is on his 4th set of tubes, 1st set when he was 7 mths old, 2nd set right before 2 with his tonsils & adnoids taken out, 3rd set at 5 yrs and last November, they re-removed the adnoids and put in the 4th set. He has been through alot with these ears.
Just say a prayer for him that he doesn't need to go to the hospital. Thanks for listening (well reading)

So sorry to here about Camerons ears and being in so much pain. Sounds likehe is going through a rough time. Sending peayers up for him that he gets better soon with the meds and dosent have to go in to the hospital and if he does he will have a speddy recovery. Sure is no fun being a little boy his age and being in pain and not being able to go out and play with the rest. Keep us posted.
