Yesterday at Anne's place!

I just wanted to thank Anne for her hospitality yesterday and for a really super family day out!! We all had so much fun and I haven't played with a Super Soaker since I was at school and I was drenched!!  Matt got me with the ice cold water and I could not breathe it was so cold!! Everyone had a riot and I hope those taking pictures send me some too! Connor had a wonderful day out with all the kids there and they certainly enjoyed the water fight - but I suspect us adults had much more fun with it! The food was yummy! And something for everyone at all stages to eat too! Lots of food and the banana dessert again was to die for!! We all practised some hula again and I confirmed that I have no sense of rythmn whatsoever!! But great exercise! Anne was so kind to give us all goodie bags too! I have a wonderful goodie bag and the kids loved theirs too! Anne that must have cost so much to do and you are so sweet to think we are worth it...... And I am so touched by the angel you made for me and from you all - I am looking at it now and what is symbolises makes me fill up - you are all the best! So we drove home last night - tired and happy - thank you so much Anne for opening up your house and your heart to us and for making it a really fun day out for everyone. It was great to see everyone again and so good that your family all participate in making the day special for everyone!  I love you! Jackie

Sounds like you all had a blast!  Hopefully the next get together will be one I can get too. 

OH I'm so jealous I can't stand it!!! I'm glad you guys had a good time - next time I will be there for sure! No more of this "recovering" nonsense for me I can't wait to see the pictures...

Jackie, I am delighted to know that you all had such a good time.  It was grea****ching all of you turn into big kids, chasing each other around...it certainly got everyone moving, didn't it? LOL  Jill, you would have been impressed!  For those of you that haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting Jackie's hubby, Bill, in person...well, you're just missing out!  He's is sooo charming & funny....& ummm....Jackie?  He's pretty cute too!  And Connor...he's every bit the charmer that is Daddy & Mum are & soooo well behaved.  All the kids got along beautifully.  Melissa & her family...well, I simply fell in love with them all.  They stayed until nearly dark, the kids still running around playing, us grown ups gabbing the evening away.  It was hard to say good bye.  Jim & his sweet wife, Betty, joined us as well.  Thank you so much, Jim, for being our expert grillmaster...everything turned out delicious!!  Betty, you two make such a cute couple.  I hope you don't mind my mentioning to everyone...Jim & Betty will soon be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary!  In a world of quickie divorces, I want to thank you both for renewing my belief that in this world there is that "special someone" for us all.  I believe I've found mine (nearly 21 years & counting).  You are an inspiration for all us hopeless romantics!!  I need to give out extra special kudos to Kat, Christina, Matt, Chris, Amanda, & Nino for being my tireless helping hands...this shindig couldn't have been pulled off as well without their help.  And we all had a great time doing it.  They kept me from stressing out & going overboard as I am known to do...lol.  My best friend, Mickie, her hubby, Dave, & my Godson, Josh, joined us & for once they got to just be guests for a change.  Usually Mickie & Dave are my anchors, but this time they got to run & play & have fun.  Josh (who's not yet 3) entertained us with a song & was just toooo cute!  Mickie brought along Nancy, also a wls recipient...6 years out & she spent a bit of time chatting with Jim & Betty.  Gosh, I hope I"m not forgetting anyone.  Suffice to say, you all warmed my heart.  I took great delight in jus****ching everyone playing & chatting & laughing & eating healthy & everybody moving!  Again, Jill, you would have been proud!!!  I love you all!!  Maybe we can make this an annual thing?  I would love to host again.  Ok, so my weekend isn't over yet.  Kat & her girls & Christina are here for one more day & it's time for us gals to get beautified for our outting with Courtney who should be here soon.  I will be sure to have photos of our tea party & then put everything together to share with ya'll.  Matt & Nino are on babysitting detail while we girls go off for a couple of hours.  So again, thank you all for coming & for sharing your love, food dishes, & fellowship.  And Jackie.....you REALLY are our Angel.  I love you too.

I am SO jealous...I wanted to go, but it was just not in the cards. Glad everyone had a GREAT time!  Knew you would....IT'S ANNE!

Wow! it certainly sounds like I missed a great day.  Ann, thanks for putting the event together and opening your home to everyone.  We had a previous commitment with friends in the Outer Banks or we would have been there.  Hopefully next time we can join in.

I'm so happy to read that everyone had a good time...I know I certainly did.  As for those that couldn't make it, no worry...I'm thinking of doing it again to maybe close out the summer.  All in favor, vote now so I can start planning.
