Hello fellow Virginians Newbie here...

Hello, Just wanted to introduce my self briefly, I am Jasmine everyone calls me Jazz and I have just begun the process of applying for surgery.  I am 34 years old, 5'9 and currently weigh about 272.  I have gone to the seminar at INOVA fair oaks with Dr. Moazzez ( my first appt is not until August) but I truly enjoyed thew seminar it was truly informative and inspiring.   I have been over weight for the last 10 years and I just can't take it any more.  Anywho....I look forward to talking with you all.

Hi Jazz!  Welcome.  I am kind of a newbie too.  Dr. Moazzez just did my surgery on June 10th.  He is AWESOME!!!!  I have no regrets.  If you have any questions, let me know.  I am more than happy to share my experience. I also am 5'9 and weighed 272 at surgery.  I am amazed at the difference already, only 3 weeks post-op.

Hi Jazz I just wanted to introduce myself and welcome you to the board. I went to dr moazzez's seminars but then ended up seeing Dr. Anez who is also at Fair Oaks he did not rewuire a sdeminar and the process went very quickly i had my surgery a week ago today and have already lost 13 pounds. Its an amazing journey. I wish you all the best

Hi Jazz! Like everyone else, I wanted to welcome you to the board, and also let you know that I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Moazzez. There are so many doctors out there that either don't care, or just push you in and push you out, and although he is a little more demanding (so I've heard) than others, he really takes the time to assess YOU and YOUR situation, and is thorough to a fault. I had surgery with him 26 months ago. To date, I've lost an average of 240lbs. I hear that I'm ahead of the curve among my peers (people who started at the same weight that I did) and I believe wholeheartedly that it is due to Dr. M.
