Follow up with your labs @ seeing your DR'S
Just a reminder and a warning I have discused this in my meeting with my group, and just this past weekend one of my girls brought it to my attention. After being to your surgeons for your follow -ups you know they do those labs and weeks go by before you might here from there office or you might have to call them. PLEASE PLEASE call them if there is any questions at all, this lady had low numbers on her labs as far as her calcium I think it was she has lupus along w/ other medical issues and it was low in 2006 and they never told her she just got the letter a few weeks ago telling her and along w/ the letter a perscription for the calcium to go get. She should have been on it 2 years ago. So I cant stress how important it is to ask for the report yourself look it over take to your PCP if you are not sure of what your reading and know that your labs are correct. I know they are very busy hospitals and offices there are no excuses for over sights like this it has happened on morethan one occasion and its better safe than sorry its your health there messing with. So keep acheck on them. Just wanted to put this out there for the newbies and the older ones too because we need to keep up all our blood work no matter how far out we are. Have a great day.....
