Irma is grouchy today, but have good news...
Irma is not happy with me today. Yes, I have named pouch, she is a cranky old lady named Irma. The place where they put the staple gun is really tender and sore also. I think my nerve ending are waking up and they are not happy with me. I had the same thing I had for lunch yesterday, 4 tblspn of refied beans, RF cheddar cheese sprinkled on, a small dab of LF sour cream, and small amount of salsa. I could not get through half of it and Irma is pissed. So I had hubby take it away. She is so grouchy right now. I am to a point I may go back on full liquids for the rest of the day and have yogurt or cottage cheese for dinner. We will see.
Good news. I was DX in Feberary as a diabetic. My first ever A1C was 6.7. Not bad at all. With my age, my Dr wanted me to get under 6.5. Well I went in for my A1C last Thursday and is 6.0!!! It is not all the surgery either, since it takes a 3 months sample, but I am sure the surgery helped with it big time. My A0C?? thought showed my liver enzymes to be slightly higher. It was like 60 and it's limits is 40. So they want me back in 8 weeks to retest.
Congratulations Melissa. I remember when my surgeon had me go to see the Diabetic Treatment Center for the first time. My A1-C was 13.9 I had to make drastic change and in 3 months I brought it down to 8.4. It had to be under 9 to have surgery. I go back to my endocrinologist in July and 3 days before I do, I go get blood work done. I can not wait to see how far I have come.
And oh? I, too, name things. During the pre op, they found I had a gall stone, I named him Fred. Well my pouch is named Nellie, after that evil girl on "Little House on the Prairie". The blond one who was always whiny and fussy. Thought it fit perfectly.
Good luck with everything and congrats on how far you have come. Keep us posted.

LOL I named mine Drucilla! Its trial and error with foods. A culprit initially may be the salsa (acidic) so just keep that in mind. :) Irma might be irked today but give it a bit and try it in a week or so. GOOD FOR YOU! Hopefully soon you'll be free of it! Take care!

Pricsilla still gets cranky at times.....Someone told me to try Papaya Enzymes....seemed to work for me at times, not at others. I have a whole never opened bottle I'll be taking to Ann's this weekend...it'll be up for grabs since I don't use it anymore. :-)
