Good Morning Everyone...... Well....it's another day and another opportunity to get moving. So...what are YOU doing to move today??? Me?  Let's see.....I missed my cardio yesterday (that's another story), so today I will be doing P90X and going to the studio for toning. Until tomorrow.....stay safe....stay hydrated....stay moving!

Good morning Pastie Girl!!  LOL  I've got a few things on my to-do list.  Lots of house cleaning, for one.  Then weeding the veggie garden.  And finally...H U L A !!!  Or more to the point, Tahitian.  I fully intend to be able to ami all the way to the floor & back up again.  I'll be ready for the next challenge, Jill...   Hey, I was wondering something.  I bought these weights that you can wear around your ankles or wrists & you can put in or pull out the weight tubes.  If I were to wear them on my wrists while I'm weeding, do you think that would enhance my "work out?"  Anywho, thanks for being a continuous inspiration & encourager.  I'm so glad we're friends.

RIGHT ON!!!!  I am SO proud of you.  You looked SO much in your element Saturday that I thought - what a PERFECT workout!!!!  And your movements....OMG!  SO beautiful. As for the weights...this is MY PERSONAL OPINION....They place too much stress ont he joints to be used during an activity such as walking etc.  I have a pair that I use only for leg lifts, and I put them around my thigh, away from the joints. I know some put them on their wrists while walking to help increase their heart rate. Let me do some research for the "facts" on those things, but I suspect that you may find that they wear you out more than providing any real benefits. I'm glad we are friends, too.  You are a stitch and I love ya for that!!!

Wow!  I'm really glad I asked that question.  I never thought about strain on the joints.  I was thinking of wearing them on my wrists while weeding.  Just more proof that the only dumb question is the one not asked.  Thanks for educating me!!

I've BEEN up, already been to the grocery store (OH MY GOSH THE PRICES SUCKETH BADLY), back here, unloaded and gonna get out in nature of course then get my first lesson in simple working out/weights at lunch.

I hear ya on that.  I ran over yesterday and was SHOCKED by the rapid increases I saw.  A box of Rice Crispies was over $3.00 (shows you how often I buy cereal....) and bananas were 0.44 per pound.  They were 0.33 just a few weeks ago. Have fun at the gym.

I went and swam this morning at the gym - I love swimming! Do you think that after 20-30 minutes the water actually gets heavier?

Naw, but it sure feels it, doesn't it..... Bu****er exercise is a great way to start out.  So much earier on the joints.  My problem is boredom.  I like hig intense stuff.  Even yoga puts me off, but I do it a few times a month for the stretching (I really should do it more often, but....). Have fun!

I've gotten 3 - 15 minutes walks in so far today....trying to do it before it gets too hot! So, that's 5,436 steps so far! WOOT!! Gina
