2 month results

Yesterday was my 2 month surgerversary. I have lost a total of 44 pounds. I'm pretty happy with that, but it seems others are losing faster than me. My waist is 5 inches smaller. I feel really good, but I know I need to up my exercise. I have had no food intolerances such that would make me vomit, but have felt a little yucky after a couple of things.  The overall experience has been much easier than I thought. I do not crave sugar like I used to. I really do not miss certain foods like I thought I would. I am gaining a little more confidence, such as going to the pool. Even though I don't look like Ms. America in a bathing suit now, for the last few years I did not want to be seen in public in one. Also, I am not losing my hair. It actually is longer and healthier looking than before surgery (maybe from the vitamins). I know that could change though.  Another thing, I am down from a size 24W to a straight 20. (Is there a difference if it has a W after the size?) My biggest complaint is my "behind". It is flat as a pancake. I think 40 of the pounds I've lost came from there!!!! One more thing, I'm off my cholesterol meds and it was perfect last week when checked. I really enjoy sharing my experience with others. My pastor is my biggest cheerleader. Each week he likes to get an update on the weight loss. He said that I'm sorta like watching a baby...Each week they come to church and they look completely different from the week before. That is so much fun. Thanks to all for listening and your support. Penny

Congrats!!!  44 pounds is wonderful and I hope I can achieve that at my two month mark.  I think you are doing great.  Down 4 sizes!!!  WOW!  And off your meds.  What more can a person ask for at 2 months out?  That is wonderful.

Thanks Amanda, I try not to compare, but it is a little discouraging. I think I'm doing what I'm suppose to, but I am going to exercise more...starting today. I went for a walk, I usually take Sunday off. Maybe that will help.
