My labs keep coming back low for Vita A Retinol.... What sites are good for doing research on vitamins?  What about finding foods rich in X Y or Z....  Talk to  me, what do you know.. this is all new to me. I know Vit A is important for when you are breastfeeding and preggers, but.... haven't seen anything on the effects right at this moment...

Amanda,  Sounds like  you need to talk to your dietician/nuritionist. If you are not comfortable with that, e-mail me  or Jackie at [email protected] and we will do some research to see who would be a good source for your answer. Regards and good luck!!

Thanks Sue. I did talk to my nut.  The family here on the VA Board is always so helpful I wanted to find out what the "veterans" if you will who have been around for a while knew or said as they have always been great with advice, direction etc... Thanks.

Hi Amanda, Dr Elariny told me to go to Vitalady for dry Vitamin A (palmitate). They first tried dry Beta Carotene...nothing. Malabsorptive WLSs negate our ability to transform beta carotene into vitamin A retinol. I have a couple of studies VitaLady sent me on my home computer, if you're interested. Gina
