Yes and you are right she needs to be congraulated in more ways than one. She has come a long ways and still farther to go. As a mom I am so proud of her and will stand by and with her until the end of time.

Hey Tammy, Thanks! :) Sounds FANTABULOUS to me! I'm diggin' that coffee quite a bit (if you hadn't noticed). Unfortunately I'll have to catch up with you after the 1st of the week when $ is looking better. I'd love to grab a cup and celebrate! Love ya! I had to come back here and edit this to add: This past weekend while out with you and Steve and other friends I had great fun and really and truly needed it. However, like I mentioned to you in the powder room still that urge, the smell to have just a sip...its there now & then. When I went to the bar and ordered a drink I specifically asked for non-alcoholic and as sugar free as possible. That's what I got and fruity yet tart concoction. Still I was asked by some "whatcha drinking?" "what's in the cup?" At first, I was honestly hurt as I didn't understand the doubt. But, as the night went on I said what I was drinking, let ya'll taste it and decided that if I have to show others the truth I'll do that too. Its being held accountable just like with WLS. So, Tammy thank you for being there and thanks for supporting me. It means more than I can express in this reply. Love ya! (again)

Congrats! Way to go! One day at a time, girlie! You have made great strides. I have noticed when you do something people dont like or agree with they never seem to forget, so take this time to remember something good about YOU! You deserve it! Your story can help others from experience. Not something you read or copied to another page, just from the story of your own life and experience. Thats the best kind of advice if you have walked in the shoes and overcome it! congrats again and kudos to you! Shannon

Hey Shannon, Thanks so much! EXACTLY! One day at a time! :) You are right I never live down the mistakes I've made in some folks eyes but that I've made mistakes, picked myself up and brushed myself off and keep trying ....that's what matters. A saying you know I love ... "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." Dr. Seuss If anything I finally get what the quote means. I have learned that (like an AMAZING connection always has surrounding her quotes and blogs etc) "Fear is that little darkroom where negatives are developed" and allowing others to have control in my life where they shouldn't is me allowing fear in. If I set boundaries (great book too) and don't give others that control then I take away the fear. Its not been easy and some folks have tried to make it harder but they should know and realize they have also made me stronger and more determined. I'm blessed to have great friends and family and I'm building and strengthening those bonds and connections in spite of some nay sayers. I might get down but I'm NEVER out. So, thanks a bunch! Love ya!
