CHEW - CHEW - CHEW

As I plug along in my lessons for my nutrician cert, I am finding that one of the biggest things we truly miss out on with our journeys is how important it is to chew our food .  We are told of the importance of chewing , but bringing old habits , we neglect this .  Chewing our food is one way to enjoy it even more . We must make our eating something we enjoy, and whoffing it down can not  only make us sick , but it can take away from tasting .  Did you know that chewing your food starts the digestive process ? As food enters your mouth , your enzyemes begin to excrete - glucose enters your system , preparing your body for digestion.  So try to remember each time you eat to savor the time you have with your meal . Chew your food atleast 30 times . Make the best of each experience . Stop having moments of were you know food is stuck or you ate to fast .  We have different eating habits now , and finding ways to make our meals enjoyable is the key to added success .  Take care all !  Tink

Good advice, Nat.  Eating too fast is one my lifelong bad habits, because it seems I'm always on the run.  Just need to stop and smell the roses and CHEW!  :)
