Stricture?

Ok, I am having some issues here that I dont know need more attention or what so I am coming here to ask questions before caling the surgeons office.  I have been having some uncomfortable churning pain in my pouch area.  This pain is usually constant although when I swallow food or liquid it feels most uncomfortable.  Its not a nauseated feeling but rather a crampy pain.  Does this make sense?  Could this be my pouch stretching?  A stricture?  I have no vomiting no loose bowels but just this achey churning pain.  Any suggestions?   Instead of an "achey breaky heart" I have a "ouchy grouchy pouchie"  Help!  Susan  :)

Susan - my best suggestion would be to call your surgeon's office  - right now - and ask - it does not sound like a  typical stricture but something is making you feel bad.... Jackie

Susan, You are the same amount of time out that I was when I had my first stricture.  What you have described is nothing like what I had when I had them.  You need to call your surgeon IMMEDIATELY.  That is what they are there for and what you are paying them for.  Feel better soon and keep us posted.  Let me know if you need anything. Any pain that last more than a day in your pouch region really needs to be addressed with your surgeon. So many things could be going on .  If it where me , I would be getting my ouchy grouchy pouchy to the doctor ... ...  Nat

Good pm Susan, Definitely call your surgeons office and talk with them about this. Its hard to say what this could be at this point. I unlike many ended up with 2 strictures but a year + out from WLS. In addition, I had a bleeding ulcer at the opening of my pouch which made things LOTS worse. I'm not saying its a stricture but its possible. It makes sense so keep us posted! All best!
