Some Tidbits I never got to post before surgery...

I had my final preop appt on Friday.  I had  my first wow moment.  I got on the scale and I met my preop goal weight!!  YEAH!  I didn't get weighed before surgery, so I don't know if I lost anymore.  But from that I have exactley 200lbs to lose to reach my ultimate goal weight.  I saw Dr Tran that day and I asked him if I was realistic with my ultmiate goal weight of 175. (rememebr I am about 6'2)  He said it is possible but not beat myself up if I don't get there. 200 would be a great weight for me.  I told him 200 was my happy wieght, but I am a control freak so 175 is the ay to go.  : )  Of course I may not get there until I have plastics but that is OK.

Melissa - I'm always so impressed with people like you who are soooo determined to be successful that they make such significant weight-loss strides BEFORE WLS!  Congratulations on having such GRIT.  You will do so well now, too.  I'm sure you will be ecstatic with the life changes each day will bring you! Best wishes, Cleo

Congrats on the weight loss. You have the determination so I am sure you will succeed but don't be too hard on yourself if things do not go exactly as planned. This is such a trial and error thing. Glad you are doing so good and I can not agree with you more about being at home, recovering. I thought that I was in a death trap in the hospital with all those wires, especially when they had me in CCU! How is the hubby and kids handling things? Good, I hope. Keep us posted!

Melissa,  sounds like you are doing great!  With your positive attitude and brain full of knowledge about WLS I am sure that you are going to be a great success.   Remember to walk, walk, walk, and sip, sip, sip.  Then hang on for the ride of your life.
