Surgeon question

Hello everyone, I'm fairly new the VA forum, but I've been on OH for a while. I just wanted to know if anyone has Dr. Eliseo Bautista@ Commonwealth Surgeons as their surgeon?? And how was your experience with him? I previously had Dr. Amy Martin( she has sinced moved) as my doctor when I got the band, but now I'm getting a revision to RNY on 7-17-08 and I just wanted some input about Dr. Bautista. Thanks... Hey Tonya! Welcome to our family. I have Dr Bautista do my surgery. I had laproscopic RNY on April 30. He also removed my gall bladder at that time. I adore him. He is so awesome and very settling. I love their office too. I know you are going to be in awesome hands with him re routing your plumbing. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Again, welcome to our board. I too had a revision and I know you will like it so much better. I should have had the RNY done way back in 03 but I chickened out and went with the band. Don't have a clue about your Dr but I'm sure someone on this board has used him. I extend my welcome to you as well. Take care, Jim

Tonya, Just wanted to welcome you to the board. I used the same group but a different surgeon. I had Dr. Hutcher but I am familiar with Dr. Bautista. He checked on me in the hospital and I have also see him in the ER (I was readmitted twice for strictures). He is a very nice and compitent surgeon. I chose Dr. Hutcher for very specific reasons however Dr. Bautista is wonderful. Good luck. Tammy

WELCOME to the VA Forum Tonya! I too had Amy Martin and miss her tremendoulsy. I had Lap RNY in 03. I'm not as familiar with Dr. B but have heard wonderful things about him. Wishing you the best!

Dr. Bautista is GREAT and I am sure you will have a good experience. He really takes the time to go over things with you and answer all your questions. I had lap RNY and he did a beautiful job and have not had any complications. BJ
