Oh I can so relate!!!!! Every Saturday my MIL bring doughnuts from Krispy Creme for Connor and Bill and they are usually still hot! The smell goes around my heart!! But I also know if I ate one I would be SO sick and that is probably the only thing that stops me taking a bite out of them! It is lucky for mw that I am afraid of sugar!  So I feel your pain Lauren and if you just convince yourself of how sick you are going to be it may help you not give in to temptation..... Jackie

That's exactly why I would never cheat on a donut.  I'm scared of dumping.  I've never experienced it other than one sweating nauseas experience when i took too many pills the first week out of surgeyr.  I know it's bound to happen eventually, but not by MY sabotaging myself.

Good for you Lauren!! I have only dumped once in 2.5 years and it was on something that I had eaten the night before in a restaurant and then decided to have fit or breakfast the next morning ... so it seemed that I was resistent to whatever was in it on an empty stomach but it had been fine the night before. It made me so ill for 2 hours that I thought I was going to die  -the nausea, sweats etc - I had to go and sleep for 2 hours - it was such a horrible experience that I have been doubly careful ever since!! So I have never been ill on purpose and will go to great lengths to not dump again. It was a lasting memory for me..... Jackie

Hey Sweets...& yes, pun intended.  I'm not going to repeat what others have already said.  Let me add this:  So much of weight loss success is mental.  It's about visual triggers, & smells, & sights.  But just remember something that I discovered when I "fell off the healthy wagon"...calling those temptations "comfort food" is BS!!  When I give in to my weak moments, I NEVER feel comforted or good afterwards.  I feel guilt & anger & remorse.  So rather than focus on the fact that you felt tempted, I want you to embrace the fact that you did not succumb to temptation.  Take hold of that huge accomplishment.  Consider it another one of your "wow" moments.  Once you see your resistance as an accomplishment, I believe that you won't even have anymore "panic attacks".  You will have taken back the power that food held over you.  You did great, Kiddo...I'm very proud of you!!

Hugs!
Ann

I'm salivating right now just reading your post. Hold on, I'll be back..... I went to the kitchen and made myself a protein shake..Vanilla with some cinnamon thrown in.  not bad. When reading your post I thought to myself, good girl Lauren. You made it through the kitchen 3 times without taking a donut. That means at least 3 donuts didn't make it to wreck havoc on your pouch. Thanks for posting this. We are all in this together!
