THANK GOODNESS ITS FRIDAY YA'LL!
Hi Kit Kat, Sounds like some quiet time for you may be good. Hope that all goes well for you this weekend. For today, met my prayer group and then relaxed in the hot tub and pool. Spending time at home to get some housework done and bake for the neighborhood picnic. On Saturday I am on call for work and working in the garden. For Sunday, I am off from work. Going to church and then to the neighborhood picnic. Rain is pending, though. Happy Summer Solstice!!! Cindy
Hi ya Sweetie-pie!! The battle of the bands sounds like a great idea for some fun. I got my fingers crossed that your friends win!!! Today was awesome!!! Mike was off so we got a bunch of medical stuff done. He did a stress/echo test today & we get the results July 10th when he goes to see my cardiologist. When he did his visit to the VA hospital a few weeks ago, the doc there detected what she called an aortic murmur so he's jumping through all the test hoops to find out what's the whats. Prior to his appt, we took my cpap machine in to be recalibrated. My recent sleep study showed marked improvement but I still need to use the stupid thing, just at a lower setting. I'm also gonna try out a new "mask", so I'll be snorkling as Lauren called it...lol. I sure hope it works this time cuz I have NEVER gotten any relief from the stupid thing! Anyway, after that was Mike's test, then lunch, then eye appt for him. What a great eye doc & group we found!! I'm going in next to week to see about getting contacts. I sure hope I'm a good candidate...I really hate wearing these glasses...they make me look like an old granny!! After the eye doc, we went out to dinner & now he's watching an old Apes movie while I get caught up here. This weekend we have big outdoor plans. FINALLY get the grass seed down from when we restructured the huge flowerbed out front; clean up the deck & plant some veggies in planters along with some flowies; establish a new bed across the back of the garage & then plant the 5 huge azalea bushes Antonio is picking up for me tomorrow. I also acquired a Spanish Olive tree, & hibiscus bush (that's the state flower for Hawaii), & I actually paid $7 for what is a weed back home! I forget what it's called, but if you touch the leaves, they quickly fold up, then open again when you leave it alone. Almost as much fun as fainting goats! LOL. So much yard beautification projects in store for the weekend. I just wanna get all the projects done before it becomes Africa hot. I sure hope everybody has a terrific & productive/restful weekend. Be safe!!
