Chart Your Progress.  Just like with our eating, we seem to have a selective memory about our workouts as well.  We always recall the workout that we did, but never the one that we did not do.  Maybe, because in out mind it's a reminder of what we did not do.  But, I think you should look at it as a reminder of what you DID do.   Writing down your workouts let you see how much you have improved and can be a great motivator.  I personally keep a calendar that has what I plan to do (I plan my workouts a month at a time) and then a seperate calendar of what I did (writing it daily keeps me focused to it).  The first calendar, I keep one copy at my desk at work and a copy on the fridge; the second calendar I keep in a bullentin board in my workout area so I can see it as I am working out.  Plus, I use the "What Are You Doing To Move", thread here at the OH VA board. So, like your pouch, a calendar is another healthy tool that can be used to chart your success. ___________________________________________________________________________ As always, before beginning any fitness activity, see your doctor for clearance.  This for your own safety. © 2008, Jill Krekel, Certified Personal Trainier.
