WLS went awesome.... everything else... well that's another story
So before WLS, I was so worried that I would be the one to suffer through all the major (and well minor) complications. I mean, if I don't have bad luck, I don't have any luck. Well, low and behold, everything went great with the surgery, minus a little infection in the drain tube site and since then, I am like a magnet for other problems. First it was that infection which led into MRSA and now, something else all together.
I woke up this morning, the back of my neck hurting and itching, feeling hot. I looked at it with a mirror and it was all red and swollen. I made an appointment with my PCP and went in. He says that it has a secondary infection in it and he thinks it started out as a spider bite that became infected. He prescribed an antibiotic so this time, I asked for a liquid. He wants to start off easy with Amoxicillin and also prescribed a cream. I have to go back next Thursday for a follow up to see if it is still there or how much it has improved.
So of course, I come home, take my meds and then grab the can of bug spray. I spray along the walls of my entire house and all under my bed. Those little multi leg creatures are not biting me again. Grrrrr Thanks for letting me vent!

For now, he is treating it with, as he calls it, the simple stuff, Amoxicillin. I did get the liquid though. It's kinda funny. It's just like the stuff you give your kids, the pink, bubble gum stuff. My son even pulled out his dropper and gave me my meds like I do his. The liquid is much better than swallowing more pills. Thanks for the well wishes.
