OK, so I finally found out today. I will be required to leave Inova Fair Oaks Hospital at the end of July. Someone in the Inova System made the decsion that the new company, Crothall, will start with all new managers. Right now I have no immediate opportunities within Aramark or outside of Aramark, for that matter. But there is still time. The hardest part will be for my daughter who starts college at Virginia Commonwealth University in the fall. She received a scholarship for full (in state) tuition. If I have to move to another state her scholarship will only cover a third of the out-of-state tuition. And my wife Cathy, is an elementary school librarian/teacher who, because Virginia has no reseprocity(sp?) with any other state, will have to start her teacher credentialing all over again. That is if the school system where we move to has an opening for a librarian. Now don't get me wrong, while I am certainly looking for simpathy and comfort from my OH family, I am not without faith that God is still in control and looking out for me and my family.

Michael Im so sorry to here this. And I know you and your family are at wits end, but remember to take care of you and God only gives us what we can handle and I have you and your family in my prayers, that something will come to you and will be suitable for you right there and the moving out of state wont be a have to. Hang in there and we are all here for you.

Michael - Still hoping for the best turn out possible for you and your family. Keep your spirits up and your eyes and ears open --- that's how I was able to return to the east coast and family after 8 years of exile in IOWA (ugh!). Isn't there some way for your daughter to still claim in-state residency? You might check with a tax accountant and start formulating your plan now. I wish you nothing but the best of luck and hope! I wish I could offer some great suggestions to try and help with everything....just know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. So sorry to hear about this. BUT...I am a firm believer that when one door shuts, another one opens. There is a reason that this has happened and while you do not know now, you will figure it out.

I'm sorry to hear this bad news. I hope all will work out with finding a new position and your daughter being able to utilize her scholarship. Do you have relatives in VA that she can live with to remain in VA should you have to move out of state?
