My Dearest Pam...I am so very proud of you for reaching out.  And I'm especially glad that your guardian angel or your negative energy bugged me these past days which made me call you this morning.  And then to read all the loving responses you got...well, I don't know about you, but it brought tears to my eyes & I got all choked up.  You see, sweetie...you are part of this ohana...this family of travelers all on the same journey.  As the song goes..."...you'll never walk alone."  So as I said to you on the phone....I'm here for you & with you. I love you too! And ladies...thank you so much for just being yourselves.  I KNEW all she had to do was take that first uncomfortable step forward & you all would rally around her.  I just love my OH ohana so much.  Such an adventure this journey of ours is!

Hugs!
Ann

Good am Pam, We are ALL here for you! Its a WONDERFUL thing you've come forward. We've all been there and faced challenges along the way. One of the best blessings is coming here and realizing you are not alone and there is support. You cannot make it without support. I'm glad Ann talked you into coming here. Its been a few months basically since your surgery. Your body is going through all kinds of changes and its a BIG deal. Start by taking each day as it comes. Create a food journal (there is one on my profile if you are interested) which allows you to see how much protein, fluids, foods, vitamins and exercise you are getting in. Mine also has questions on it to help with your moods and figuring out some triggers of why you aren't doing what you are supposed to. You certainly have my prayers. You will be in my thoughts for sure as well. Please let us know how you are doing. All best!

Pam, As the other ladies have said, we are here to support each other.  Have you talked to your doc about the nausea? He may be able to give you something for it. Peppermint tea also helps, I find. I'm sure you don't want to take your vitamins feeling sickly but it is so vital to your health. Try taking them with yogurt, sf applesauce..something easy on the pouch. Do you have a pill box? That may help you get on track.  Tell me about your protein. What are you eating, drinking, likes, dislikes. I'll do all I can to help you though this difficult time--we all will. Prayers are with you,.

Thank you all so much for your heartfelt responses to my post. It means so much to know that I truly am not alone in this journey. My doctor has said it is natural to have some underlying nausea after surgery and for some it never goes away, but I will try the tea idea. I am basicly a beef eater, chicken sticks in my craw so to speak, and fish stinks! I try to eat shrimp because I know it is high in protein. I am basicly eating a regular diet just very small portions. I have cut out white breads and flours, sugars, and most pasta, but I can tolerate any foods. I have yet to fing a protein mix that I like, but I quess I am going to have to get over liking it and drink it anyway!Any ideas you have would be appreciated. Pam
