Good morning everyone, It seems i have been gone forever...lots of new faces here..I hope youre all having a wonderful summer so far...i know mines great..passing very fast.. I am maintaining my weightloss...it will be 3 years since surgery in December and im still at a good weight...250..i guess thats great from 460.. I am finding that the excess skin is drawing more comments this summer than ever before... So i am on a search for a way to get it removed again...any suggestions would be appreciated.. My PCP says hes willing to help any way that he can...as i am starting to get sores...infections under the belly.I have medicare ...which i have been told will not preauthorize this procedure...does anyone know of a doctor that will do this and let me sign that i will pay if medicare does not cover it?.. Any input would be greatly appreciated... Hope all is well with you all... Huggs Randy

Good morning Randy. Wow! What an awesome weight loss. I too, even before surgery, had the same problems with the skin, getting rashes in the folds. Ended up hospitalized several times due to it. Maybe that will help "when" I get to the plastic surgery stage, way way down the road. I have Medicare as well. Had to sign those advanced beneficiary notices regarding my surgery. It's been 4 weeks and no word on if Medicare is covering my surgery or not. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I think it is so strange that Medicare does not do pre-authorizations. Makes little sense to me. Just wanted to say hi and welcome back. Hugs

Morning Randy!  Can't help with the medicare questions but wanted to say hi!!  You have done fabulously!!  Definitely keep up with that PCP and document all those sores & rashes, maybe document the $ spent on the visits & medicines also.  Best to you on the plastics journey.

Congrats on maintaining.  Losing 210lbs is NOT TOO SHABBY!  You go!  :) Goodluck finding a way to have plastics.  I hope you are able to get it done.  How is your credit?  Would you consider a personal loan?  Or you can use "Care Credit" which is accepted by alot of PS's.  You would probably get a better interest rate though if you just went to a bank directly.
