my 4 week follow up
I just got home from my 4 week follow up appointment at my surgeon's office. I saw Jeanine, a nurse practioner, and she told me how well I was doing, even with my slip ups and my faltering. That really does make me feel successful in this journey. The scale was being a bit silly. It kept flucuating between 2 weights but ultimately it said 259. That means I am down 37.5 lbs. I surpassed the 265 goal that I wanted to have today and may just be able to make the 250 by June 14. They even had samples of all the flavors of Unjury protein in stock so I was able to get 1 of each flavor. I can't wait to try. Anyways... She increased my diet, well the variety of food I am allowed to eat. Still can not have the salad I want but... I can have can fruit (sweetened with splenda and in it's own juice). I am allowed to have fish, salads like tuna, egg and chicken. Over all, things are looking great and I am more motivated and happier than I have been in years. It is truly amazing. Thanks for reading. Big hugs
Wonderful news! I knew you could do it and then some. Keep moving in the right direction. Remember to chew, chew and chew some more and only addone new thing at a time.
Also, remember that just because something goes down (and stays there) and tastes good today, it may not tomorrow. I would even suggest putting the tuna in the chopper or blender for a while. Sometimes I still do! keep up the great work!

Woohoo! You are doing magnificently!!!! I knew you would as you are being careful. None of us are perfect but trying our best is all we can do!
I use the chocolate unjury for my protein balls! It is delicious there....
It is always great to get to try new foods...... but as Tam said be careful not to try too many new foods at once in case one makes you sick and you can't identify which one...
I am so happy for you!!
