I knew there was one other questions..CPAP Users
I just got my machine this past Friday. I have embraced the concept completly and welcomed the machine into my life. I am actually looking forward to some positive results from it. Problem: I am taking off the mask in the middle of the night. I am not aware (at least not that I know of) of doing it. I will wake up and find it breathing next to me. Geez, how am I suppose to take care of myself if I am subconsiouly fighting it? Did anyone else have this experience when they first got their machine? Did you eventually keep the mask on?
YES I did and it will come its just a habit I think of the body and face getting used to it, I still find myself from time to time waking up w/ it on the floor hissing at me lol and you may want to make it a little tighter where you cant pull it off so easy. And or if your hubby or partner see's it off he wakes you and makes you put it back on. But it will get better, it was a big adjustment I have the breeze which isnt a full face mask not sure what you have but I love mine I could not use the full face mask though. Good luck and hang in there it will get better.

Good am Melissa,
Its quite common actually to remove it during the pm. I did that frequently initially but then it got better with time. Since having WLS I don't use it any longer. I did eventually keep it on.
All best!

I have been using a cpap for about a year and a half and found that eventually it became a habit to keep it on (yes, I took it off every once in a while). i even still do it every once in a while, but it has more to do with my having nightmares and wanting to get out of the bed and run around and all LOL. I suggest tightening the strap a wee bit to make it harder to pull off, but not too much that you are uncomfortable! I will be so happy when I don't have to use my cpap anymore. It really does help though. :)
