Scale Fluke and Pro Op Testing....
I had my preop testing this morning. Boy that was fun. I did not have to do two of the test considering I had them already. I did not have to do the EKG, as I got one when i went in for my cardiac clearence, and abdominal u/s I had one in March to look at my liver. So what I had today:
Chest X-Ray Upper GI (had to drink that icky stuff and do flip flops on the bed) lab (took all my blood) Meet with the surgical cordinator and meet with the anestiaologist.
I also signed up for a research study and they will follow my progress over the next 5 years.
I stepped on the scale today and it told me I wieghed 7 lbs less from the last time I got weighed about 2 weeks ago. I think it was a fluke from scale diffrences. I may have lost some weight, but not that much. I am actually eating a wee bit more. I have the last supper syndrome.
So my surgery is in 3 weeks from today. Here is my schedule:
Saturday: go out with mom for the "last supper" at the Melting Pot and hopefully see Sex in the City movie.
Tues: Start my Pre Op diet for 2 weeks (shakes, health bars and soup, allowed to have sugar free jello and popsicles)
Wed: pre op physical with PCP
June 12: last Preop with Nutritionist and Surgeon.
June 14th: Girls dance pictures and birthday celebration for Amirah
June 17th: Surgery.
