IT'S TOTALLY TUESDAY YA'LL!!!
Good am,
How are ya'll doing? Great I hope. How was your weekend/holiday? Ours was really, really jam packed! I think that yesterday was the only day we kinda slowed down some.
Friday was a long day for us. Thanks to Sarah for posting the Friday post and to everyone for the thoughts, prayers & well wishes for Kayla and I. We spent the better part of the day @ MCV for some tests for her. Turns out there was a lot more to this than I'd been explained. It was fine I was VERY involved and more than I thought I'd be and that me things a lot more comfortable. Met some very nice folks along the way who were really good to us and who were there for testing with their kids as well. Its truly amazing what technology and medicinal advancements can do for us all these days. Turns out Kayla is like me with anesthesia. Takes quite a bit to get her out and takes quite a bit for her to come out from it. I'm told the "norm" for kids is about 20 minutes then they wake out of it. Well, like mother like daughter it took Kayla over 50 minutes to come out it. But, thankfully she didn't get sick. Anyhow, we are in the waiting for results stages. We bummed on Friday pm out back and enjoyed nature. She was loopy some and her speech was kinda funny but she ate well and was back to normal by Saturday.
Saturday we went to my sis's for my youngest nephew's birthday party. He's 5 today so we did the party for the weekend. It was gorgeous! We had a slip n slide, my sis & I filled up 200 or so water balloons, we grilled and baked a few things and spent the better part of the day outside. We had lots of laughs, good eats, silly convos, lots of running around, water balloon fights, funny cake moments and the slip n slide was a major hit. The cake was Spongebob and my nephew took a big honkin' chunk and munch it major! LOL! They got a nice pool for him and them, outside toys, clothes, games and a really kewl bubble toy that does about 10,000 bubbles. We were there until the later pm. Came home and had a carpet party for the 2nd night in a row. Friday night was Beethoven and Saturday night was Madacasgar.
Sunday we were up with the birds and sun and got outside just after 7 am and stayed outside for just about the rest of the am/pm. At noon time we meet Theresa & Cameron @ Crump Park and enjoyed some lunch, play time, duck feeding and laughs. What a riot! That was fun and Theresa I'm sorry we were running behind. :P We got home a few hours later and it was pool time. You'd have thought Santa was coming! Neighbors came and we hopped in the FREEZING pool for a few hours. Gets to be about 5 pm or thereafter and the sun is fading a bit and the kids are freezing and hungry. Bagel Bites, changes of clothes and warmth later they are playing hard core again. I'm cleaning up the yard and their tornado paths left behind. It was a GREAT day again. Weather was beautiful.
Yesterday was a little slower if you can call it that. We spent it OUTSIDE once again. It got pretty dang warm here but had a nice breeze going on for the better part of the am/pm. The kids were thinking they were getting in the pool first thing until it felt like a freezer! LOL! They played outside while I laid out for a while. Yep, I got some sun that's for sure. Took Kayla to grab a few pool toys and a few projects since they were "bored" because they couldn't get in the pool yet. That worked out for a little while longer. They got in the pool while I sunned some more and then it was pm, cooler and time to change and relax. I managed to watch a movie "Something's Gotta Give" one of my fav's and get a bit of "me" time. They were back at the playing soon to follow. Got everyone in bed, cleaned up the yard and house and settled in watching the Andromeda Strain which is really neat so far. Its a creepy freaky sci-fi type show about biological viruses etc.
What's on the books for your Tuesday? I imagine many of us will be back to the grind work, work, working. Hope everyone has a safe drive to/from work or whatever your destination. Hope you have a GREAT Tuesday and remember to give your best smile, give your all even if you have to dig deep, take time for YOU, spend some warmth and love, reach out when and where you can and give back when and where you can. Hey, it never hurts to accept a helping hand ourselves either.
All best!

Good Morning, Sunshine.....
Well, I spent the weekend getting chores done in preparation of family coming into town for my son't graduation. I also did alot of motorcycle riding. I really got comfortable on it.
Let's see...today is a mildly busy day here at work - which is a good thing!
That's it.......
Enjoy your day!!

Wow! Sounds like you guys had a great weekend! I'll be praying for you as you wait for those test results!
I had a fantastic time in Charleston (SC, not WVa) with my whole family. My parents (from Lynchburg), my brother (from Orlando), and my sister, her husband and daughter (the ones who live in Charleston) were all there. We hit the beach, the pool, the park, and the video arcade :), cooked out, ate dinner overlooking the ocean, played games, and just generally had a good time being together. Of course, how can you not have fun when you're hanging out with this sweetie?
Of course, I ate too much and exercised not enough so I've had to fight the "I'll-never-be-able-to-do-this-I-should-quit-now" blues. But I don't give in to those anymore because I know that each day we get to start over so today I'm back on track. And I also know that I did better than I would have had I not been on my pre-op program. So today I'll hit the gym with Sgt. Bryan and think of excuses to send new pictures of the cutest niece in all the land to everyone I know!
Hey Kat!! Sounds like you were very busy this past weekend. But then again, you always are, lol. I am so glad Kayla is doing great. It was great meeting up with you, your mom and the little buggas. Cameron & his friend had a blast playing with them. It was a great day. We will definitely have to do that again this summer.
Today.... I woke up this morning with more of this summer head cold. All nasally, stuffy, sore throat and a fever. I want to try to take it easy today but if you saw my house, you'd know that that isn't going to be possible. And Cameron has a game tonight so the sand and dust from the ball field will definitely not be friends to my nose.
Have a great Tuesday! Stay safe and enjoy the nature!!!

Our weekend was pretty busy too - getting that e-fence up for the dogs - then yesterday afternoon found out the extra collar we got for Ember - our digging dog who dug up our last e-fence the day after my husband put it all in so we are collaring her so she doesn't repeat that performance - was the wrong kind and we can't use it - so today we are chaining her up and training Casey on the fence - if she digs the wire up again my husband will have a fit!! It took us three days to put it in and we still have work to do on the front garden with it......
Our community pool opened up yesterday and Connor went up there for a couple of ours with our neighbor and her little boy - it probably wasn't the best thing for him to do because he is sick today with his allergies - he was ill all weekend with them but today has got a lot worse and had me up all night because he can't breathe..... but it is hard to keep him down in the afternoons and he so wanted to go to the pool - the mornings and night times are his worst. Bill is also sick with allergies so between him snoring all night and Connor getting up all night - their allergies are affecting me too!!!!!
Anyway hoping the rain - if it comes - will dampen down the allergens and people will get relief from their energies.........
