Hi everyone,  I am home and doing pretty good. Thank you all for all your well wishes,  that was so nice. I had my surgery on the 14th. and came home on the 19th. had to have some blood added to me so I was in INOVA an extra day. Sorry it has taken a while to post, I was going thru a huge funk! I have not had a girley cycle for a few years and wham- bam it had to start right after surgery. Any way my hormones are on a rollercoaster ride. Not no kidie ride either a huge full blown dropping, twisting, upside down, spinning ride.  YIKES  Thank God for my husband and family they are so understanding. I got my stapels out on the 22nd. Dr. Anez said all is well. I was 395 day of surgery I am now 376. WOW I guess all my sadness is worth all that weight. Did anyone else have any emotional outburst this soon after surgery?? Today is the first day I have felt like doing anything besides crying. I have been getting my protien in as well as my vitamins but slowly working up my liquid intake. Each day I get a little more in. So I have to say things are going good. I have only had one painful cramping outbreak of GAS. So I feel I have been really lucky. I was able to chat with Lisa while I was in the hospital so glad to here they have finally fixed her up and she is now on the mend. She looks great and is so sweet. Thanks for sharing your smile. I will keep you all posted on my journey. Thanks for listening. Lanette

So glad you are home and doing well & WOW. Congratulations on your weight loss. Welcome to the losers bench. We have made some room for ya. I had trouble with my fluid intake too, at first. I did like you. A little more each day. Happy to hear everything is going well. If you need anything, just ask!

Hi, Lanette:  Welcome home!  So glad to hear you are doing well, and have lost so much weight!  That is so great!  Hang in there with the hormones...your body has been through a lot...and will be going through a lot with the weight loss.  Treat it well!  ;)

HI Lanette, Your body has just taken quite a shock to its system and it affects each of us in different ways. Like you I got the monthly visitor right after surgery and I had just had them the week before surgery. I called my surgeon on the Sunday morning and he called me back a few mins later to tell me that when your body has had a shock these things happen and no they had not done anything to my womb lolol! I felt very stupid........but how was I to know lol! Your hormones are all over the place now so you will be feeling up and down - sone people do feel like that after surgery. But it is temporary and it does get better...... Maybe you should come to our Meet and Greet BBQ/Health Seminar on the 28th June and meet other people who have been through what you  have so you don't feel so alone - make some new friends and have people to turn to - you are part of our community now :-)  We take care of our own :-) Jackie

Good am Lanette, CONGRATS on your weight loss thus far! Glad you are doing all right in spite of the major Red Fairy visit and the gas. That has been interesting for MANY of us on both counts. I think honestly we've ALL been emotional following surgery. Its hard not to be. Anesthesia is a big culprit not to mention the rearranging of our insides in some cases and all the shock to the body. Glad you got to talk to Lisa too and that she's on the mend. My thoughts & prayers are with you for a swift recovery! All best!

Welcome to the bench Lanette.  So glad to hear you are home & on the mend.  The hormone ride is soooo normal.  Anesthia plays a part in it & so does the weight loss.  As each fat cell breaks apart it pushes all the hormones it has stored into you body so there is a hormone overload.  It does get better.
