After reading a few posts lately, I would love for us to share recipes. Have you all done this in the past? Can we just reply to this post? I need some ideas for sure. What do you all think? Penny

Hey Penny. This is good topic. I was looking yesterday, for recipes to try to make for the meet and greet and came across Amazon.com. They have several books that you can order that are full of recipes for after weight loss surgery. On their homepage, just type in "bariatric recipes" and it will bring up a page with several. Maybe this will help.

hi Penny, do you ever go on the main board?   there is a poster and her name is EggFace.  She is also listed under "my friends" and you could click on her picture from there?    She has the most awesome recipes!!      I eat so odd at times, I make (and did in the beginning too)  a lot of scrambled eggs.  first 6 mos. post op I had low sodium ham with cream cheese and then rolled it up ... sometimes I would use turkey breast.      I always had cheese sticks on hand and still do.     One rule of thumb I was taught was to keep the 10 10 10 in mind and eat 6 small meals.... and the tens stood for no more than 10 carbs for serving, no more than 10 gms of fat per serving, and @ 10 gms of protein..... but this was just for 3 snacks and then the other 3 "meals" I was told to keep higher in protein and stick to protein and veggies (non starchy)     I also love the books on amazon.  got a few and they are in boxes somewhere....   :) good luck Jill

Thanks for your info. I think I'll try the ham and cream cheese (if it is on my list of approved foods). I had my first scrambled egg yesterday with lowfat cheese. That was really good. Thanks, Penny

Good am Penny, This has been widely discussed for some time now and was mentioned at our recent meeting at Books A Million a bit ago that a book is being put together. I think it would be a great idea to get a bunch together. I'm sure there are THOUSANDS around. Jackie - could we maybe add this to the agenda for the BBQ in June? I know for the dish(es) we're bringing we've been asked to bring the recipes as well but how about we have folks bring 3 or so in addition and we could get them typed up and posted or something. Just a suggestion. All best!

I would love that. Of course, I would hate to put a lot of extra work on Jackie. Let me know if it is something I can help with. Penny
