Feeling Frustrated
Hello, everyone. Just feeling a little frustrated today. For some time I have been actively searching for a new job. Job hunting is tough...a full time job. The work that I do now is physical. By the end of the week my knees are throbbing. Sometimes I want to take the oxycodene left over from surgery. The other day I ws able to take an x-ray report to my OS, who will decide what action should be taken next. My other frustration is that my PCP is moving out of town. For some reason I am taking this pretty hard. I have been going to this doc for two years. He saw me through two operations...and assisted with wound care for one. He has taken a big interest in my wls aftercare...catching those vitamin deficiencies. This has moved me to send him a thank you card. Sharing this with all of you really helps me to move on. For me, this message board is the bomb! Thank you and have a great Memorial Day weekend.
Hi, Cindy: So sorry you are having to deal with so much. It is a real blessing to have a doctor you trust like that, isn't it? Can he refer you to someone he really trusts? Just an idea. I know when I get a recommendation from my doc, I know it is going to be someone respects, and that puts my mind at ease right away. Good luck in the job search...hopefully you will be telling us the good news of a new job really soon! :)
I agree with Cindy. Ask your doctor for a referral. I'm sure he will really like to receive your thank you note. Good luck with your continued job search - I hope you find a job that is a bit easier on your knees and is something you will really enjoy doing. HUGS!

Oh, Cindy....it's all ok. No where near as bad as it seems. Loking for a new job can be tough, and it's really tough right now. But, you can do it, and know that ther is a reason why things do not happen int he manner and when we want them too. So, keep your head up....it will come.
As for you PCP. That stinks. Can he recommend someone for you....someone he trusts?
Good luck!

Morning Cindy,
I am sorry you are frustrated right now. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that you find something that is easier on your body and mind for that matter. I was really bothered when my WLS surgeon moved onto another practice. I also had this happen with my PCP some years back and I'd had him literally since we were kids. I'm funny about the are I receive and build strong relationships with those folks and its incredibly hard on us when those things change. Know that you are not alone and we are here to support you. That you are thinking of him and wishing him well by thanking him speaks volumes. Just remember you are your own best advocate so be on the hunt for someone you can depend on.
Hugs...............
