Thank Goodness It's Friday!
And ain't that the truth! God did good work when he created weekends, didn't he? I'm posting my poor imitation of the lovely Kat's daily post today since she and her daughter are at the hospital having some tests done. So don't forget to keep them in your prayers today.
So how was your Thursday? Mine was jam-packed, but good. It was one of those busy days where I stayed calm instead of panicking about the amount of things I had to do, so naturally I got a lot accomplished.
What's on the books for your weekend? I know it's a big 3-day weekend for many of us!!!!! As son as those children get on the bus today (I'm not even waiting for the buses to pull out!), I'm leaving for Charleston. That still won't get me there in time to see the cutest baby in all the land before she goes to bed, but it will put me there before 9 so that's good. I'm looking forward to the long weekend with my family (mostly the baby, but it's nice to see the rest of them too!) catching up and going to the beach and/or pool. It hasn't been warm enough for that here yet, but it is down in SC! Is anyone into women's golf? Apparently there's a huge LPGA tournament happening in my sister's neighborhood this weekend, so if I knew any women golfers I might just bump into them.
Here's a thought for today. I called my dad for some advice yesterday (and, let's be honest, every day) because I have a nail in my tire and didn't think I had time to get it fixed before I left for Charleston. My dad is the most practical man in the world and he said, "Well, either fix it or don't worry about it. Just worrying about it without doing something about it won't do any good." Think about it - I bet we can think of lots of ways to apply this to our WLS journeys and our lives!
Have a super fantastic weekend!

Good Morning, Sunshine.....
Ok....you were a GREAT Kat replacement. You showed up and that's what was needed.
Well, thank goodness it's friday AND it's my day off - YEAH!!!! I'm sitting here sipping on a cup of green tea and planning out my day. I was going to run today, but think I'm going to head to the beach for a nice long walk instead. My body feels kinda beaten up from this week's physical activities and needs a bit of a break.
I have to head to Cosco this morning and that's about it. I plan to take the motorcycle out later today for more practice - THAT will be the highlight of my day.
I also see a few layouts that I want to finish in my scrapbook room, plus need to clean it up - I recently reorganized it and need to fini****
That's it......
Now, as for your thought. What a great thought for today, and I know where there have been many areas in my life where this applies. That's for giving me something to think about for today.
Have a great, and safe, weekend!

Morning Sarah!!!! I agree, great fill in for Kat!!!!!! Sounds like you had a busy Thursday and I know you will have a wonderful weekend with your niece!!!! I did have a good night. We finally got the girlies late yesterday evening, my b-i-l & his son came over for dinner and we enjoyed the family visit. I was pretty proud of myself too, I started to stress on something & started to get moody, took a little walk to take myself away from things, thought about and realized that it made no sense to stress, to just remember that we will work through things as they come. And then enjoyed the rest of my evening. Pretty big break through for me and I was tickled with myself. No real plans this weekend so I am going to take an opportunity to relax I think. Have a great one!!!!!!!
Hi Sarah - it is great that you can fill in for Kat - we all appreciate it. Hope you have a wonderful weekend in Charleston and enjoy your neice.
I am having a nice "me" day today - mostly becaise I did not tell my husband I am off or it becomes a "we"day and I never get to do what I want to do. I love him dearly but sometimes I like just doing a day to myself instead of the demands of family. These days are rare so I treasure them!
Tomorrow it is back to building the electric fence for our escape dog who we need to keep contained. So we are renting a machine and then digging all around our yard. to bury the cable. Hope it works first time or we will be in for a lot of fault finding and my whole weekend will not be as relaxing as I want! They are opening our pool in our housing estate and they are having a pool party tomorrow for residents and I know my son will want to go so we need to work fast to get that fence built...
Hope you all have a great weekend!
Jackie
Jackie - you cracked me up! I can totally relate - sometimes I don't tell anyone what I'm doing so that I can just be by myself for a while (although being single does have that advantage...)
Good luck with the fence - you will have earned a dip in the pool when you are finished with that job!

Hi Sarah, it's wonderful that you were able to fill in for Kat's post today!! keeping them in my thoughts and prayers. Wow sounds like you had a busy day yesterday. Have a safe trip and a wonderful weekend.
The thought for the day was perfect!!! I decided to fix it. I've been letting it go and worrying about it all week and today decided to do something about it. I haven't been feeling well all week. Nothing in my routine has changed. Just not feeling well. It's not a cold or any other ailment we normally catch. I am dizzy, tired and have a constant headache. Kind of acts like a migraine and a migraine pill will make it go away for a few hours then it goes away but it never goes into a full blown migraine no matter how long I let it linger. Weird huh. Got an appointment today a 1:45. We'll see what they say. I have a feeling this is still related to the "migraine" problem I was having before. Nobody ever really solved that either.
Have a wonderful Holiday weekend everyone!!

Are the buses there yet? I know you are anxiously waiting for the school day to end and get off on your way. I love you rDad's positive outlook.
I suggest stopping by Advance Auto or any auto parts store before you head out and get a can of "Fix-A-Flat". It is a great thing for us ALL to have in our vehicles when needed in a pinch. It's some kind of high density foam and it will inflate your tire long enough for you to keep driving to a service station for assistance. Here's my story... I had always teased my dad about his emergency trinkets I liked to call them. He always had some tip or do-hicky around that was used in an emergency. Well he insisted that I put a can of Fix-A-Flat in my car. I bought one, threw it in the trunk and never thought about it again.
Later that year, I was at a Christmas party downtown, parked in one of the parking decks and when I returned to my car found a tire flat. BOO - here I am decked out in a velvet dress and heels at midnight with no way home. I tried to find a tow truck, but they were all busy and I would have to wait hours and they explained that I would have to pay more for a flatbed since that was the only thing that could make it into the parking deck (low ceilings). I called my dad (they were still living in CT at the time) and he told me, PULL OUT YOUR FIX-A-FLAT! So I loaded up my tire and couldn't believe it, I was on my way. I drove 30 min back to my local garage, had a friend pick me up and returned there the next day to leave the keys. All the tires were still inflated. I nearly forgot which one had the problem. This stuff is was way cool - it stayed inflated all night!. The only tip I give is that the foam can be corrosive to your rim if not washed off, so make sure you get your tire and rim in for service asap. :)
Have a safe trip and enjoy seeing the baby and your family!
