Standing Ovation for Kat!!

Kat came to our support group tonight and did an awesome job of telling her story with honesty, sincerity and success!! Some of our support group members have already sent me emails of how touched they were by this and thanking us for a very important lesson we should never forget. We are all addicition prone people and how easy it would be for us to transfer these addictions elsewhere to other equally bad addictions. Kat thank you so much for opening your heart to us tonight........ Pat thank you so much for coming with her - I know some of that was hard to hear - but your support was unwavering....  You both left before I had a chance to hug you both and say thank you properly - so I owe you big hugs next time I see you!! love and hugs Jackie xoxoxo

Kat's openness and generosity in sharing with us touched me more than I can explain.  I would like to thank her again for giving so much to us.  It was amazing.  :)

Jackie, I wasn't able to make tonight's meeting due to a volunteer picnic for Cameron's school. But Sarah & I have decided to attend the next one, if that is ok with you. Can you please let us know when it is. We are looking so forward to it. Thanks & hugs!

We are not going to have one in Juane because we are holding the Meet and Greet BBQ/Health Seminar then but will have our regular one on July - if you  both send me an email address I will include you in our regular mailings prior to each meeting. We would love to have you there! Jackie

Theresa I hope you can make future ones because I have to tell you I will try to do the same. I'm trying to widen my scope of support groups and not just local ones (well we really don't have great ones here just my opinion but change happens otherwise there would be no butterflies!). I think that Jackie made a good point last night that she attends a few different ones and each offer something different from the others and it makes them so beneficial. Hugs to you ....

That's wonderful!  I knew that she would do a great job when you told me that she was coming to speak.  She is very open and honest about her situation that it really benefits others to hear about it.

Kat, thank you for being so open about that part of your life.  Many appreciate it and many can learn from it. For those who have not heard her story, if you get the opportunity to, take it.  It is amazing to hear about her challenges, over comings, and growth from an experience that would have made the average person crawl into a hole.   And to know that she makes the commitment each day to be better than the day before is inspirational.
