Today's Thought and a Challenge

“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”   - Ralph Waldo Emerson As I look back to the days where I was 265 pounds, I realize that there was little that I was truly enthusiastic or passionate about.  I had my scrapbooking and my boys, but that was about it.  I, like many, had let my passions dwindle out and almost disappear.  Why?  Because I did not take the time to explore what they were. But, while on this incredible journey, I have found that within myself, there was a lot more.  I have found that it is extremely important to be passionate about something and to let it out.  To show my enthusiasm, and do things that enhances my passion.  I have found new things in which to be passionate about - things that I would never imagine. So, today, I challenge you to look with yourself and think of the things that you are passionate about.  Then ask yourself "How am I enhancing my passion these days?"  If you cannot answer this question, then make that your next goal - to enhance your passion.

Good post....as usual.  For me, this is a no-brainer.  My passion is just the simple fact that morning after morning I get to wake up & realize I'm still breathing.  Living is my passion.  Each day it takes different forms, but being alive is at the top.  Anything else is just gravy.

Thanks, and I hear ya on that one.  Living is my passion, but everything I do I do with such a zest that you would wonder.  For me, they are all elements of life and I plan to live it to the fullest. At the age of 90, when I'm lying in a nursing home bed I can say that I pole danced.   Not many can say that......
