Avoided temptation
Today was Cameron's 8th birthday. We had a great party here at the house for him. I rented a giant moonwalk for all the kids to play in. They had the swing set and entire back yard to play in and of course, every video game known to man. We were going to do a cook out but I became too lazy so we ran up the street and got Little Caesar's pizza. There it sat, on the table. Six large pizzas, bread sticks and sauce. Of course, since it was a birthday, there was birthday cake. An entire full sheet cake, yellow batter and all the icing you can imagine, with a wonderful Kasey Kahne scene. And one can not have a party without ice cream. Not the "no sugar added" but the full fledge full of sugar type, and like 4 different flavors too. The only thing that made me take a second look was the rainbow sherbet. Other than that, Theresa didn't think twice about anything there. I served the pizza, cut the cake and gave the little guys their ice cream and never even had a reason to lick my fingers. It felt fantastic to be able to resist that stuff and not think twice. I think it just may be ok after all!
It's going to more than "okay"... it's going to be wonderful because you are taking the best care of yourself that you possibly could! I'm so proud that you created such a great day for Cameron and could enjoy it in this new way. It's just a peek of what lies in store for you in the not-too-distant future. Go you!
