Off to Boston for the week!

I have a 7:00 flight to Boston on Sunday morning (in just a few hours!) and I will be there until very late on Friday night. I did a good job of packing for the week... workout clothes, bathing suit, and a different new outfit for work each day.  I've also got lots of protein foods and a list of stuff to buy at the grocery store. I stay at a Residence Inn and it's like an efficiency apartment with a full kitchen and separate bedroom. I love it - it's like being single for the week! Because I am from Boston, I get to visit with family and friends and catch up on the local news and all the happenings. I have to be careful, though, that I don't over-schedule myself and end up exhausted. That's happened to me more than a few times, so now I try and be very careful with my evening time. I usually fly up on a Sunday so I can spend the day with my Mom and still have time to settle in at the hotel. Once Monday comes, it's a super busy week for work and catching up with people.  Nobody at work has seen me since December, so I made sure I packed clothes that "show off" my last round of reconstructive surgery and my hard work at recovering! And - yeah, yeah, yeah - the hotel has an eliptical machine as well as a treadmill, so life is good indeed. I will check in when I can and let you know how I am surviving. Have a good week everyone!

I don't know if you'll have a laptop or internet access to read this during your trip...but...have a safe one!  I know your coworkers are going to give you a huge WOW when they see your finished piece of art, your body.  :)  Have a great time with your mom and other family in Boston.  :)

Hi Mary - I was there last week and it was busy for me too! I saw many coworkers I hadn't seen for a year or so, so it does feel good when they almost don't know you.... one manager called me the incredible shrinking woman because everytime he sees me I get smaller lolol Enjoy the trip Mary and tell us all your stories and surprised faces! Take care Jackie
