About two minutes into my 20 minute work out on the eliptical I am extremely winded, then I slow down pause for about two seconds and start back up and once i get through that I am fine to go for however long my knee will let me.   try pushing through that winded stage and see if it comes right back to where you are breathing heavily, but not winded and dying! lol.  I also put an index card over the clock part and either listen to music or watch TV, if you can't see the clock, you kind of start to gage off the TV, and loose track.  I always exercise when something interesting is on so that i get sucked in.  Before I know it, i have made it through most of the show before I even have the idea to peak at the clock.  Seems that I am always at about 20 minutes.
