I'm afraid I don't go to support groups yet...just too far away & with gas prices being what they are.  Tink & Jill D. are putting together a support group for the Winchester area & hope to get it going sometime in June so I will definately be going.  To be fair to myself, I was sick the entire month of March & then had unexpected surgery in April.  I checked out a new health club in Front Royal but with membership & the use of a personal trainer, it would have cost me nearly $300 per month...too rich for my blood.  My friends here on OH have been my saving grace, helping me to keep my head screwed on straight.  As for you being a rare success bander, I don't know about that...I've only spoken to one other bander & that was just a few days ago.  I'm TOLD there are many more though so keep the faith...there are more of us out there.  I'm just kinda winging it at the moment.  Thanks for responding & keep coming back often.

Hugs!
Ann

Hi sweetie pie, Have you checked out the Lap Band forum? Maybe you could pick up some additional support and information from the posters there. Also, are you keeping a food diary? That's always an eye-opener for me.

Good morning Mary darin' !  I have checked the band forum & that's how I got directed to THIS board.  I click on lap band, then choose the state of VA & it takes me here.  I guess when you go by state, OH combines all wls folks into one place.  As for the diary, I use FitDay.  I'm actually losing again but sometimes I feel like I'm fighting an uphill battle because even if I work my band right, my heart stuff gets in the way.  I have days when I feel full of energy so I take advantage of it & get moving.  But then I pay for it either that night or the next day because my weak heart can't keep up & I'm exhausted.  Gggrrrr.  I guess I just have to accept that as with everything else, it's just gonna take me twice as long.  I'm still determined to keep working at it, but it gets very discouraging sometimes.  Ok, enough whining for one morning...lol.  Thanks for the support, sweetie.

Hugs!
