The worse Hospital Stay ever .
G'morning beautiful
WOW - this is one hell of an update (and not in the good sense), what terrible treatment, Natalie. I can imagine Alan just steaming with each hour that went by and RIGHTFULLY so. Probably took every ounce of control to keep his temper in check.
Sheeez, if that's how they treat "high risk" patients that MUST be seen right away, what do they do with the average walk in.
Sorry to hear you had such a rough week and experience - hopefully you're getting all the bad mojo outta the way EARLY in this year so the rest of the year is nothing' but wunnerful.
You have a wedding to plan and attend - there's no doubt that 2007 is YOUR year for hapiness!
Hugs - Lei
Natalie, I am sorry you had such a terrible experience at SGAH. It seems that if you know people who work there or are Adventist you get better care. I have taken people there and the ER staff were not very responsive until I started throwing out names. I was only a patient there for RNY and I had excellent care except at night because of not enough staffing. I have friends who worked there and left because they didn't feel they were doing service to the patients because of the administration. When I finish my nursing degree I will not be applying to SGAH. You should definately complain! If you would like, I can find out who the best person to send complaints too is.
As for other area hospitals, Montgomery General has a slow ER but great care if you are admitted.
Suburban, Sibley, and Holy Cross are excellent.
