My husbands submarine....
As several of you already know, via the phone calls and emails Ive rec'd - my husbands submarine was involved in an accident today in Plymouth, England. I know very little about it, other then what the news is reportiing .... 2 crew members are dead and 2 are in the hospital.
Although I have to BELIEVE that my husband is not one of the injured or worse, there has been absolutely NO contact, locally or abroad.
I appreciate ALL the positive thoughts and prayers but need to please ask that you keep my phone lines free, for the time being. Please understand, it's important that I keep them available for the Navy and as all of you can probably expect, every phone call has me jumping out of my skin.
Please, say a prayer for these brave men and their families.
Leilani
Oh Leilani, I hadn't heard this. I am so upset - please keep us (me) posted. I will be worried until I hear.
Lei, it goes without saying that you and Paul are in my prayers, as well as all the other men who are serving on this sub and elsewhere in this world for our country's safety. Sometimes I can get so caught up in my own little life and what I think is important, and then something like this just kicks reality in me and I realize that there are so many things out there going on that are oh so much more important.
Of course I won't call you but I want to! I am calling my daughters right now to have them pray in their nightly family prayers for his safe recovery, so now that his name is on many lips tonight, as far away as San Diego!
Leilani, I'm here for you for whatever you need. You know I can get to VA Beach fast, and will if you call me for company and support.
Let me know what I can do.
much love and my prayers to you and Paul, Lei,
donna
