Is Everyone Ready for Christmas?!!!
Hi Crystal, a baker for a husband!! Wow - doesn't get any better than that, does it. Where is his business?
You know on the shipping business, I remember when I used to take huge boxes to UPS to mail home (big family -- two daughters, one has five kids one has six!) and it was such a hassle. Well now the kids are getting older and they just want money or gift certificates. So it's much easier. I still have the occasion CD, book, American Girl outfit, but most is small little envelopes.
Enjoy the season Crystal, and by the way, lucky you for getting plastic surgery. Also, Crystal I wanted to ask you, why haven't I met you before? You didn't go to the June event in Richmond did you?? Or the Winter event last year?? I see you've had your surgery last year, so where have you been all this time and why have I missed getting to know you!! Have you recently moved into our area? I know I am slow sometimes in getting to know people, so its possible you've been here and I haven't!!
love

Donna, the only event I've been to is the recent lun*****h'ville...... I've been cautious because I haven't told anyone but my immediate family (and one friend) about the surgery, and I want to keep it that way! I always see the pictures from events posted here, and I just feel strongly about maintaining my privacy, and this is an accessible public arena. So I have been shy, although I wish for the personal friendships and support. Thanks for asking - I hope one day we can meet! I enjoy reading your posts!
I could handle gift cards! In fact, that's what I did for extended family this year, well that and ordered See's Candy. I got behind, and didn't have it in me to do any more shopping!
My husband's business is by word of mouth. He keeps his business license current, and can cook from our kitchen..... which thanks to both of us being extremely OCD is always spotless (or I can't handle it!). He has some local clients he provides for, and he hopes to be able to do it full-time one of these days! As a matter of fact, we're having our big Christmas dinner today, and he has done all of that too - turkey and the works! He's been busy in the kitchen for 2 days! What more could I ask for?! I would so love to have the money to send him to a fancy Italian pastry school, or a professional chef class... he is so... good, but aways loves learning more.
Anyway....... gotta run the vacuum and get the table set with our "Twelve Days of Christmas" dishes...... we invited my friend and her girls - it will be her first year without her husband (who left her), so trying to ease the pain of another "first" for her, and a first for us as well (lost 2 family members this year)..... and trying to focus on the reason we celebrate and the gifts we've been given....
Enjoy,
Crystal
