Hello friends, I honestly can't remember if we've already done this on the VaBoard. I know that I answered these questions on a few other boards that Im a member of. If it's a rerun here... uh, blame old age and the fact that the memory really IS the first thing to go. ....and here are MY answers! 1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Egg Nog - but not straight up. I normally go with 2/3 egg-nog mixed with 1/3 water. Um, and a splash (or two) of rum, cause Im just traditional like 'dat. Although I did find a "peanut butther hot chocolate" that is sugar free and absolutely DELISH! 2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Hubby and I don't normally do presents, per se' - we do vacations some where!! This year it's a little different since we won't be together - instead, I mailed him a huge box from Mrs-Lei-Clause and they're all wrapped. As a child, it was a combination there of. Parents provided the wrapped stuff, Santa brought all the unwrapped gifts. 3. Colored or White lights on your tree/house? Colored - purples, blues and silvers! Of course, that's when/if I put a tree up - with my man out of the country on military deployment, it's NOT gonna go up this year. 4. Do you hang mistletoe? lol - only when I want me a lil sumthin-sumthin' : )~ 5. When do you put your decorations up? This year? It'll probably be another 11 1/2 months, before I get around to it. NO TREE this year - bah'hum-bug! Hey? ... does having Christmas Candy count towards decorating? Cause if it does, I have a bowl of it out on the coffee table, sign me up for decorating as of two weeks ago! 6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Kailua Pig, Lomi-lomi salad, teriyaki beef and chicken, lau-lau, fried rice, lili-koi cake, etc. I miss the ethnic dishes that we always enjoyed at my Uncle Danny's house in Mililani (Hawaii). Most of the "big gatherings" happened there and the food was brought in by the truckload it seemed. 7. What was your favorite Holiday memory as a child? Might explain my lifetime battle to lose weight, some of my best memories are from the the above referenced MEALS/gatherings. 8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I'm 47 years old, I'm doing good just to remember what happened yesterday. Who the heck is this Santa guy I keep hearing about? 9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? No gifts this year. [sniffle snif] I'll be spending it minus my hubby - BUT with a little bit of luck, his submarine will come up for air long enough for him to at least call before Christmas. That's what I want and it's the best gift I could hope for. 10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? Same color scheme as the lights, all purples, blues and silvers - simply gorgeous. 11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Dread truly is NOT sincere enough a word, try I HATE it! 12. Can you ice skate? No, but I can walk and chew gum at the same time. I grew up on the islands, ice is kinda hard to comeby there (thank goodness)! 13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Yes, and I didn't get it at Christmas - got it over Labor day, ironically, that's the day I went into labor and my son, Keoni, was born. 14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? That I get through them without hurtin' somebody! Um, I hope I'm not SCARING anyone with my ba'bum-bug answers, you know'z Im really sweet, right? 15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Lili-koi cake - my mouth waters just THINKING about it. 16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? It's relatively a new one, only about 6 years old, not sure if that's a tradition yet? - but going on vacations with my husband! 17. What tops your tree? A Glass ornament - in you guessed it, purples, blues and silvers! Although I have had a couple of my cats try to take it's place a time or two. 18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving? Giving!!!! ...receiving actually makes me feel uncomfortable. 19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? Any of the songs on Garth Brooks or Vince Gills' Christmas CD's! 20. Candy Canes -yuck or yummy? Yuck - it takes too long to eat and it doesn't even taste that good - bring me the home made FUDGE!!! 21. Favorite Christmas movie? None! Give me a good ol' Christmas cartoon, like Rudolph or Frosty the Snow man, any ol' day. Happy Holidays to ALL!!!

LOTS OF ORNAMENTS THAT WE'VE HAD FOR YEARS, LOTS HOMEMADE FROM THE GRANDKIDS, LOTS OF COLOR 11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? MOSTLY DREAD IT - BUT I DO LIKE IT THE FIRST FEW HOURS. 12. G'morning girlfriend! ....were your ears burning last night? We were laughing WITH you as we brought up your post, yet again. LMAO - it just cracks me up, big time, I'd expect that from me, but not my Donna Mae. Oh, and tell that Wendy chick to back off, you're MY Donna Mae, not hers!!!! I am always so dang boring, and I know you would agree if you weren't so sweet to me, that I can't believe anything I said was a topic of conversation with you girls!! I'm going to have to be more 'out there' more often -- this is fun. Hmm, let's see what else I can come up with (that wasn't a bad sentence was it???) Sometimes I do say things that I don't realize are out of line, like when I took one of my dogs to Petsmart for grooming and I told the young woman 'he isn't real bad, he just needs a *******'. All the family being together around the Christmas dinner table and someone asking my uncle to pass a chair over - and he did pass it above the table - smashing our living room light fixture and showering glass all over the food! Made me laugh so hard - of course I was 10 or so at the time. 8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I was about 7 and my nasty know it all cousin told me - I cried for days and it did spoil the joy of it all! 9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Not usually 10. Can you ice skate? no - they don't make skates to fit my ass... 13. Do you remember your favorite gift? yes it was a doll with newly knitted clothes given to me by a neighhbour - I kept that doll for years and loved her... 14.
