I am scheduled!

I'll be having my open gastric bypass with a handy-dandy fobi pouch on January 15 with Dr. Hutcher at Commonwealth Surgeons! Somewhat funny story here; I had my initial consultation on Oct. 24, and was told I should be having the surgery in 8 to 12 weeks. I assumed it would take a while for insurance approval, yet after almost 6 weeks I'd not heard from Hillarie, the scheduling queen. I emailed her, and an hour later my husband called saying we had a letter from her with the approval. When I got home, I found that the letter was dated Oct. 30, and dear hubby had thought it was an invoice and put in a pile of "non-bill" mail. At first, I was pretty furious that his piling habit had possibly delayed my surgery; now it seems that it all works out as it should be. We'll be done with Christmas and New Years, the folks at work have finally hired someone to fill an opening so I can take off all the time I need without guilt, and January just feels karmically (is that a word?)correct. OOOOooooo, I'm a happy girl now!

I too had Dr.Hutcher and I know you already know he is an angel . This man saved my life .. and will be doing a hernia repair and tummy tuck on my next month . Congratulations on your approval .. and on your date . If you need anything let me know . I have some really good information concerning the surgery , your diet etc .
