Advice and Recommendation for Marriage Counselor Needed !!
Can anyone recommend a good marriage counselor in the Northern Virginia area? I have dear friends who are having difficulty and they have agreed to go for counseling. I promised to help them find someone good. They are wonderful people and I think some counseling might save this marriage. They are near to separating without some intervention and that would be a shame.
Any advice or recommendations appreciated. Thanks.........~~Gail~~
Gail-
I would HIGHLY recommend Mike Kachura. My DH and I started to see him when our (new) marriage was starting to crumble. We're now doing so much better and planning for a happy future together. Mike has a website: http://www.kachura.com/ His phone number and contact information is on there.
If you want/need more information, please let me know.

Christina,
Thanks so much for the recommendation. I looked at his website and his experience looks very interesting. I'm happy that he was able to help you and your hubby. The situation my friends are in is very similar.....fairly newlywed and having difficulty coping with all the changes that have come about, but basicallly still love each other.
I hope this works for them as it has for you - thanks again.

Gail,
I know you already got a glowing recommendation but Sandra Malawer in McLean is awesome. She does individual as well as marriage counseling. I have many friends and couples that have gone to her. (She is my own therapist when I need her.)
Here is her website (the website is very crude - think she did it herself and she is far from a computer person):

Good luck to your friends!
