OK, All you folk with a life...
...I will have a life tomorrow. (I copied this from a post I made on the Singles Board).
Taking Darrol's hint, AND needing a shaping garment (read 'girdle') to help hold the innards together while they heal, I ventured out to WalMart. I did get the girdle thing and a pair of skinny leg black pants (8-10) and was on my way to pay. I HAD looked for the $12 Levis with no luck.
I passed the ultra-reduced stuff on carts up front and there they were--unmarked. I got both a straight-leg 8 and a boot cut 6, both of which fit. Actually the boot cut is larger. I got them both and a 4 for wishful thinking. I have never worn either a 6 or an 8 prior to this.
Now the REASON I needed these things--I have been IMing with a fella' from an adjoining county I met online. We get along real well so far, and even know some of the same people. ALSO, we were both at Tech at the same time-- small world.
So despite my being almost crippled and needing tape, glue and a girdle, I have a hiking date tomorrow!!! Don't know how far I will make it on foot and I explained this to him. He was understanding. Don't know whether anything will come of it, but I am going to enjoy myself; it is a new beginning. A sign of things to come.
And, tomorrow is my birthday.
Hope you all have a great 25th, too!
Lois
Hi Lois,
I just got home and poped in to see what was going on with my buddies and saw this post. Please let me be the first to wish you a very Happy Birthday! I hope you have a wonderful day and a great time hiking. Things will work out if they are meant to be. I will be thinking of you! And congrats on the small sizes! I am almost there with ya!

Hi Lois, Happy Birthday!! And what fun you are going to have!! Sounds like your life has really taken a good turn -- and it's about time!!
Now that you are going to 'have a life' that could be both good and bad for us on this board. Good in that now you will posting about all the fun things you are doing, or bad because you will be doing all those fun things and not posting!!
Have a fun time, I'm really happy for you Lois,
love
