Milestones

Well after 18 months I have finally lost 103 lbs. 78% of my exprected weight loss. I recall how hard this has all been. I remember my first disappointments at slow loss and Lei encouranging me saying you lost 50LBS its like a huge sack of potatoes...she was right about pretty much everything. It will all come off it just takes time for your body to adjust, especially if along the way you decide like me to stop and have a new baby. I just want to say thanks to everyone for the emotional support I have recieved here...the get togethers, the encourangement when you feel your no longer going forward, the support when you get stuck at those stuborn areas...when you think man was it really worth 50 lbs? was all of this worth this? for me ABSOLUTELY, I have gotten my life back. Am I scared about my future..absolutely but I feel I wouldnt have had a future if it wasn't for the surgury, and OH for helping with my informed choice of quality of life. My blood work isn't perfect..low d levels but it just shows you how you need to keep on those annual blood work testing...I will have one more visit with my gastric doctor then Ill be refered over to a family doctor. I know Ill have many talks with them about what I need to monitor, what drugs I can and can not take, and corrections that will need to be made. I was offered a referal to plastic surgury (which I will seek out in about another 20lbs and a second post operative pregnancy...yeap i am nuts enough to have yet ANOTHER baby...) SO I guess I am done rambleing...GOOD LUCK EVERYONE on this life changing journey

Hi Trish, good to see that you are getting near to your goal and that you managed to have one child and planning another one. This surgery obviously made a huge difference in your life. You sound so happy! Congratulations! Jackie
