whoa what a few days, I was to be released yesterday on Friday but Dr Halmi wanted me to stay another night because I had a low grade temp because my o2 was 94, 95 and I was breathing fast. I was using that breathing toy they gave me to use and I cant still go up to the 1250 they want me to. I will get there. I went in thinking it would be like my gallbladder surgery it was some what and still alot different. I went home the next day after that surgery and felt fine. I am right now wearing a binder, what hurts is the incision under my left boon where a instrutment went in, it must of been alittle bigger so it hurt to take a deep breath. well it is uncomfortable to burb lol I have passed gas just once i feel it but nada and i am bloated you can tell my stomach is hard and puffier then normal. My husband is so sweet he stayed on the coach in my room last night and just now called the doctor to ask if i can have ambien he said i could tonight before bed... i still have a low grade fever so i will finish my protein shake and work on my breathing with that toy and rest. But as we were in CVS getting my pain pills on the way home I weighed myself I went in at 245 I am down 8 pounds so I just wanted you all to know i am home but now I need to go rest.. I did to much walking in CVS and up 3 floors of stairs to our apartment so thats probably why i have a low grade fever cuz my breathing was wayyy to fast so my heart beat was fast.... in the hospital my heart rate was 105 to 110 just laying there... he said thats why i had a fever so i need to rest... thank you to everyone who prayed and thought of me.... I will post tomorrow but i feel better today then i did yesterday so i know tomorrow will be better... Thank you everyone... Beth

Welcome Beth !! I've been following your posts and I know how excited you were for your big day. Some people struggle a bit their first few weeks but I had my surgery on a Wednesday and I could easily have gone back to work on Monday. I was one of the lucky ones. I'm proud of your courage and determination. You are going to be so successful. I can just feel it. Rest peacefully. Jenn

Hi Beth! I am so glad to see that you are home! Welcome to the losing side! Some people have a few issues in the first few days but Dr Halmi would not have released you if he did not feel you would have been okay. But that doesn't mean you should not take it easy and take care of yourself. You should start to feel better every day and it is so much better to be home....... AND - WELCOME TO THE LOSING SIDE!!!
