JESSICA IS OUT OF SURGERY!!!

I GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH JESSICAS MOM NOT TO LONG AGO. SHE SAID SHE WAS IN PAIN. BUT DOING WELL. ANYONE WHO KNOWS JESSICA SHE IS THE QUESTION QUEEN! WHICH IS A GOOD THING TO ASK QUESTIONS..... BUT.. LOL! WELL ANYWAYS SHE STILL RIGHT OUT OF SURGERY HAD QUESTIONS! POOR THING. SHE PROBABLY WONT REMEMBER IT! I WILL BE GOING TO SEE HER TOMORROW AFTER DINNER.... LETS WELCOME ANOTHER LOSER ON THE WINNERS SIDE!!!

Tell her we are all thinking about her! I was in pain when I woke from surgery too but I whined enough that they gave me more pain medication then I was okay. But you are right - she may not remember much of it. I only remember waking up in my bed with my husband and mother-in-law but that was about 5 hours after surgery. I have no memory of the recovery room so I am guessing I was in pain and they had drugged me pretty good - which is fine by me lol!! So welcome to the losers bench Jessica!!! Jackie

I remember everything coming out of surgery, I was in so much pain. I begged them for meds and they gave it to me three times, but it still wasn't enough, once the morphine came, then I got a little rest. Have a good day, Cheryl! A

Well am glad she doing ok..Am new to this group. Am having mine done dec 11 with Dr. Schechner an I do have to tell ya'll am scared to death. I live in va beach an the last 3 years have been a living hell for me an my family. Let just say this I was married for 23yr an he found an young innet love an give every thing up. I tried to have the navy do my surgery but there was a waiting list like 18 months. Even though I was married to a ret navy man I miss having tricare for the rest of my life by 4 day's yea that suck's. So I would only get tricare 1 yr after my divocer was done an over. So time was runing out. I am a daycare provider an one of my daycare parent had it done with Dr. Yancey...He is a great guy. I was with him 1yr trying to get my surgery. It wasn't Dr. Yancy fault it was his ins. People they keep on trying to put this though tricare under my ss # in stead of my hubby. So I wasted 1 yr with them trying to get it work out. Then I said that's it am going some place elsa. That's when I went with Dr. Schechner. I don't know nothing about him but I was hopeing someone know or heard about him. It will real help me out alot. Like I said befor am scared to death about this surgery I don't have no family down here only a couple of good friends I will have someone there for my surgery (my best friend) but after that am on my own. I plan on going back to work the next week. Because being a single mom I can't take to much time off. Well I would love to get to know some of ya'll I can't wait on being on the loser side. Welcome, Maria. You've come to the right place. There is a lot of information here and we're all glad to help. I live in Virginia Beach too. I had my surgery through Dr. Moore and the Tidewater Surgical Center in Suffolk/Chesapeake. I know nothing about Dr. Schechner, I didn't know they had many surgeons in Virginia Beach. I only found one and he only did open, which wasn't an option for me. I needed lapriscopic so I could get back to work faster. I still needed every bit of that 2 weeks I had off though, but everyone is different. I'm almost 4 months out now and it is definitely the best decision I ever made. I hope that your doctor is giving you a lot of information. Did you see a nutritionist? psychologist? etc.? Let me know how I can help! Amber

Well thank you amber...Yes I have seen the nutritionist an the psychologist. Etc...Lol. As far as geting alot of information no I havn't got that much info. I do know that Dr. Schechner is one of the frist dr's in virginia who started the surgery. The only thing that has me a little bit worried about Dr. Schechner is that he is ret the end of this year. He will still see all the people he did surgery on for 1 other year an then I don't know what will happen then. But I wanted to thank you for making me feel coumble in this group.
