hi i'm new. :angst: i've checked out the lap band surgery and just wanted to say hi and get started. this is my first post.

I know from experience just what that can mean in your journey to a new and healthier person. Don't be a stranger, post as much as you can and reply to others. Hello , I agree with Kathy there are so many people here who will be in your corner the whole journey I know I am fairly new myself and having gastric bypass this wedesday. I come here with questions or support or to tell them about my appts before my surgery. So if you have any questions these men and women are the pros : )) first hand too. most have had surgery some are waiting... dont be a stranger... this is a great group of people ; - ) Beth

Hi Carei, welcome to the Virginia Board! Most of us here had RNY surgery but there are a few lap bands. I also think there is a Lap Band Board too but not sure of its url - I am sure someone here will have it. If you have any questions do not be afraid to ask them! We are here to help and Support each other..... Jackie
