Praying for approval!
Tomorrow is my last appt with my PCP in my 6 month insurance required diet. All my paperwork is in order, and after the appt tomorrow I am hand delivering everything to the surgeons office. Hopefully they will send it quickly on to Cigna ( the most evil of all insurance companies).
I am praying that my paperwork will land on someone's desk at Cigna that is having a VERY good day. He or she will pick it up, compliment the great documentation, fully agree that all requirements are met and give it the great big rubber stamp of approval. They will realize I am waiting anxiously and pick up the phone and call me right away to share the great news.
It COULD happen that way.. couldn't it?
Please keep me in your prayers. I am having a great big anxiety attack. I haven't slept well all week, and being that it is after midnight, it's not looking too good for tonight either!
Thanks!
Kim

Kim - we all know how tense it is to wait for insurance approval. It is the worst of all times! But stay optimistic and don't let them get you down - if they do refuse you - because there are some insurances that do it the first time automatically - go right back and appeal because that way they will know that you are serious. And many people get through with an appeal. You know it should not be this way - Insurance companies often hold your future in their hands yet it all comes down to money..... sad reality...
Good luck and I have everything crossed for you!

HI Kim,
I will surely pray that you have a quick and easy approval! It is hell waiting, believe me - I know! I have been denied twice, but everyone here has me pumped up and ready to forge on into battle with AETNA. Even if things don't go as smoothly as you hope, FIGHT! You have all of our support! We are behind you all the way. Keep up that positive attitude!
Best Wishes,
Robin
I hand delivered my papers to Dr. Hutcher's office yesterday. His nurse practioner Barbara is great! Even though I didn't have an appointment she called me back to talk to her for a while. She showed me some more diagrams of surgery and went ahead and gave me the pre-surgery diet! Every little step closer I get more and more excited! I went out and bought the foods on the pre-diet list so I will be ready to start asap, after approval and surgery date defined! ....Then I came home and ate some ice cream! I mean I could get the call Monday and have to start the diet, so I HAVE to finish that half-gallon of French Silk in the freezer!
