1st post op weigh in

I had surgery last monday and my scale says I only lost 3 lbs so far,I am kinda depressed,what is the normal weigh loss in a week?

Hey Jeanne! Everyone is different....but I can tell you...that a lot of times we gain weight while in the hospital due to fluid. Hopefully that is what is going on with you. What kind of surgery did you have? That can also impact how fast you lose....as can how obese you were to begin with. Stephanie

Jeanne, lots of people gain weight on their first visit!! You are doing great, don't be discouraged, it will happen. Just enjoy it! love donna

Jeanne, I gained 16 pounds in the hospital. I was so bummed. It took me about 3 weeks to start seeing weight loss. I had never heard of anyone having that much "water weight gain". Don't despair, you'll be losing before you know it !!
