Weird Question.!.
I had the inside of a stuffed shell (lean cuisine) at 3-4 weeks, eating the meat and cheese. Of course some of the tomato paste came with it. Before surgery the tomato products gave me the worst heart burn, but now can tolerate it just fine. Be cautious and just have a tablespoon or two at first to see how you handle it. You could also try tomato soup making it with milk to get extra protein, that may be diluted enough for you to handle better. I am 7 months out and will help in any way possible.

Hiya! Glad to see you are doing so well! I waited until I was a couple of months out before I tried acidic things because at 3 weeks out your insides are not healed so you may get acid or it may irritate your pouch. And an irritated pouch can manifest itself in many ways. It is up to you but I would say it is maybe just a little too soon.
Although you can cream things or add milk you may find yourself lactose intolerant at this stage too. Milk has sugar in it too.
However if in doubt - ask your doctor.

Hi Char ..
I want to say that the best rule is to follow your surgeons protocol . Tomatoe is good for you but right now , my feeling is the sauce and the tomatoe is too acidy . I would wait until he gives you clearance before you try it . Your tummy is too new to mess up .
Just think , when you do get clearance , how great it will taste to you .
Many hugs ,
