lap band

okay..for a long time i thought i was talking to people that have had the lap band procedure and come to find out most of the people have had the gastric bypass. I was interested in the lap band and i was really excited to read peoples stories about loosing weight really fast but they were all gastric bypass stories...and i dont think i want that. I just wanted to know, the people who have had the band, how much weight have you lost and how long did it take. My thing is, is that i dont want to go through hell for a long time to lose no weight, when i can go through hell and lose a lot of weight with the bypass surgery...please just let me know..thank you!

You are still on the VA message board, not the lap band message board, and most of us here have had one of the forms of gastric bypass. Only two or three are lap band patients. You'll get better results on the lap band message board. Good luck, Lois

If you go to the Lap Band Forum, look over in the left hand coumn which is blue. You will see a listing that says Message Board. THAT is where you will find the lap banders. Lois
