Well... I had my surgery on Oct 16th with no hiccups at all. Hospital stay was smooth and I went home the very next day. The nurses were awesome and I was up and walking within 3hours. Once I got home... I got the blues... very sad and depressed. I even started doubting my decision and cried alot. I am all better now though. I prayed and prayed and the blues went away over this past weekend. I am doing great, have had minimal discomfort, and I got all my liquid and protein in since the hospital. I have more energy all ready and I had my 2 week check up yesterday. I started soft food last night and had a scrambled cheese egg for dinner!!! YUMMY!. I also lost 25 pounds in 2 weeks...not too bad...much more than I had expected. I can finally say that I feel like me again and I am glad I did this. I am back at work and feeling good. I do want to thank everyone for the well wishes, thoughts, and prayers. Oh... who is going to the support group on 8 NOV at Sentara? I will be there!

Keli, Congrats on your surgery!!! 25lbs is GREAT... awesome work. I remember getting the blues as well. For me, I think the reality hit me that I was going to have to deal with my depression & emotional issues w/o the comfort of my best friend... FOOD!!! Best of luck on your journey! Hugs, Erika 247/144 2 year anniv. TOMORROW!!!

Hey Keli, Congratulations on your surgery. The worst is over now and you are on your way to becoming a "BIG LOSER". I too went through regrets in that first 2 weeks. I questioned why did I do this to myself. I am now 4 months out and I have no regrets at all. It's the best thing I ever did just for me. I am so happy to hear that you are feeling better. Keep on track, keep posting and we all look forward to seeing more updates on how you're doing. Lots of Love Kathy

Hi Keli, I am so glad to hear that everything is going so well for you since you got over the blues. 25 pounds lost in 2 weeks is amazing! You're doing great! I am going to try to get to that support group meeting if my "Mom's Taxi Service" schedule with allow it. I look forward to meeting you then if I make it. Keep up the good work! Hugs, Robin

Hi Keli! Many people get the blues after surgery as the realization of what they have done hits them. 25lbs is an awesome loss!! Congratulations!!! You will get lots of continued support on this board!! Jackie
